Why do caregivers complete a Record of Care?
The Record of Care provides you with an accurate reflection of the support you receive on a day to day basis. It does not record personal details like who you visited, who you received phone calls from etc. It is purely a record of the care you received. This is a valuable resource for when you are being reassessed for support.

Yes - only if you have high support needs. This is determined by a risk assessment that is completed in consultation with you.

Do monthly team meetings have to be at my place?
No - they do not need to be at your home and the Agency supports off-site meetings for the caregivers. We expect to meet with your caregivers monthly to ensure that our service meets our standards.

Why can't the Area Supervisor shout food at team meetings?
Area Supervisors are required to work within a tight budget that does not include flexibility for spending for these occasions.

Why do you have so much paperwork?
Our paperwork is a safeguard for you as a client. The development of a carefully penned Service Care Plan supports the caregiver in their day to day work, and ensures your unique requirements are documented and delivered to you. We are also contractually obliged to ACC to ensure that we have a quality system in place and are bound by Health and Disability Sector Standards. To meet the requirements equates to paperwork.

If my regular caregiver is not available, why don't I get a choice in who the relief staff are?
If your existing caregiving team cannot provide support for a particular shift due to somone being sick or taking leave then on occasion we may have to source a caregiver that you do not know. Area Supervisors make every effort to ensure that this does not occur.
