24 Hour Care
Our model of care revolves around our clients. We know they want reliable, well trained staff members who remain with them for the long term. In addition, they want us to support them with appropriate supervision, training and management of caregivers in their homes.
Unlike many care agencies, our business is set up to manage on a 24 hour, 365 day per year basis. This forms the heart of our service. In each of our regions, we employ a locally based supervisor, who in turn works with a small number of clients and their care teams to provide a personalised yet professional care service. Our supervisors are available around the clock to support our clients and their care staff. Our care includes:

Advanced Attendant Care
Most of our clients require more advanced care to enable them to remain independent, so it is usual that all of our staff are trained to deliver advanced care. While training begins as a generic programme, every caregiver is given hands-on training with their clients which includes:
- bowel and bladder management
- positioning
- skin integrity
- catheter care
- supervision of medication
- blood glucose monitoring

Overnight Care
We support our clients, where necessary, with overnight care. This usually involves preparing our clients for bed, and sleeping at our client's home in order to provide intermittent care throughout the night. In some circumstances, our staff members work through the night providing basic attendant care.
Access to these services is through ACC's claimant services.
